Key Largo Fishing Charter Information and Guide
Passenger Size Limits
Good Karma offers private Key Largo, Islamorada, and Tavernier fishing charter experiences. When I first started, I used to provide split charters but found they did not work out at all and had several bad experiences where people did not get along with each other, so I do not offer split charters.
Our Key Largo fishing charter rates below are for the entire boat and are limited to 4 passengers- but no more than two adults/2 children. No More than two adults. The precise itinerary for your fishing charter will depend on the current local conditions(rain, wind, NOAA marine forecast, and oceanic conditions). I recommend that all new and returning clients download our App, The Good Karma Sportfishing App.
No Fishing Mates
No fishing mates; therefore, you get to fish. I will teach you how to hook and do battle with large fish and make it look effortless along the way.
Fishing Trips Do Not Include Visits to the Bait Patch
I don’t sell live bait fishing as an “experience”. I have heard several horror stories from clients that have fished with me over the years about charter captains spending 1-4 hours catching bait on their charter fishing time then the clients only get 3 hours fishing time on their entire day and still get billed for a full day of fishing. I work hard to have all the bait ready for you before your charter fishing trip. If you are booking with another charter I highly recommend you ask this question about bait fishing as it is often sold as part of the experience.
Full-Day Trips
The full-day charter is 8 hours. We usually leave the dock between 6:00-7:00 am and return around 4:00 pm.
3/4 Day Trips
The 6-hour fishing charter departs between 6:00-7:00 am. My goal is to make the most out of your fishing time on these trips. However, six hours go by quickly, so I recommend booking an 8-hour charter.

Booking and Cancellation Policy
Leave the bad attitudes at home. Good vibes only.
We may require a valid credit card to hold your charter, but we don’t bill your card before the charter or withhold a deposit. If you cancel the night before the charter, the morning of, or do not show up, we will bill you the total amount of the charter.. To make a reservation, please email me at goodkarmaryan@gmail.com. I will return your email within 24-36 hours after you get confirmation from me via email or you may text me. I ask all my clients to text me at 305-619-2126 or email me at goodkarmaryan@gmail.com 3-5 days before the fishing trip. The closer we get to the date of the fishing trip the more I know about the weather and will provide you with a fishing update.
Good Karma does not penalize clients if we cancel due to weather or mechanical issues. They are for safety reasons, things I cannot control, and never a fun discussion. I love to fish and work with my clients. If the weather looks horrible, I will call you well in advance to discuss your options. I will work to reschedule your charter; if it is not possible, I will cancel it with no penalty.
I am not responsible for finding a replacement charter for you, even though I refer you to other marinas. I am also not responsible for the cost of your vacation or time off work. Again, it is never a fun discussion as I love fishing and look forward to taking my clients. I realize most people know this (99.9%), and I appreciate that. Thank you!
If you have knee or back problems or have history of being seasick I highly recommend sourcing another charter operation.
Using any GPS or cellular tracking phones is stealing from Good Karma Sportfishing. Therefore, these devices are not allowed on the boat.
No photos are allowed of my gear, and I encourage you to put away your phones and shut them off during the fishing charter. I am always honest about the weather and want you to have fun. Please keep in mind that I am a fisherman and not a magician. Most captains do not care and will take your money; I care. I will be honest about the weather and the fishing, it may not be want you to hear, but that is how I operate my Florida Keys fishing charter business.
