In this podcast I share the story about the summer of “no dolphin” in the Florida Keys. We had dolphin migration that year, but it was pretty poor.  I talked about the Tavernier, Key Largo and Islamorada charter boat fleet “chaos” that occurred that year as the result of the poor migration and how I adapted and focused on becoming a better bottom fisherman in order to find a solution for my charters.

I also talked briefly about the Dolphin Research Program. To learn more about the migration habits of Dolphin visit www.dolphintagging.com Where did the dolphin go that year? Click on the link and learn more about the migrations patterns.

Fishing Tips for Becoming a Better Bottom Fisherman

I will over time share more bottom fishing tips and tactics in future podcasts, but in this Episode I talk about getting your boat positioned correctly so you can get your drift right “the first time” so you make the most out of your fishing trip.  Also mentioning the Seakeeper (www.seakeeper.com) in relation.

Transducer Selection

I talk about matching up the right transducer to your GPS/Sonar and how important it is to buy the best you can afford.
