Reef & Offshore Fishing Charters

Reef & Offshore fishing in The Florida Keys is a year round event with a wide variety of fishing options. However the weatherman (my boss) sometimes limits capabilities.

When fishing the deeper reefs, the depths are approximately 60-140 feet and are about a 15-20 minute ride. Here we can anchor and fish for yellow tail snapper, grouper or mutton snapper to name a few. We can also driftfish and look for species such as king fish, sailfish and wahoo.

When fishing offshore the depths are anywhere from 300 feet and beyond. Offshore fishing is mainly about trolling. We can troll for species such as mahi mahi, tuna or wahoo. We can also deep drop for grouper, tile fish and deep water snapper species, again, to name a few.

These are just some general guidelines. It’s fishing and sometimes you just may get surprised with what you catch where and how.

Below is a list of fish species that we can catch on seasonal basis along the Florida Keys reefs or in adjacent deeper offshore waters.
